Although Morocco is a country that is seeing massive economic development, many people still live in poverty, hunger, and many other issues. It all shakes the well being of the civil society. Therefore Several NGOs in Morocco were born and raised by hopeful citizens. Believing that volunteering work is the Key to open up the gate of change. It changes ideologies and rules. It also helps to make better our reality and to survive.
Unfortunately, not everyone is born into a life of opportunity. Sometimes just the country you grow up in will dictate a life of hardship and poverty. We grow up expecting that our good behavior or actions will always bring us rewards in return.
We often forget about doing good deeds and extending a helping hand to others just because you should.
Volunteering can bring a whole host of benefits to participants. It’s when it comes to boosting their job prospects or enhancing their self-confidence and skills. However, it should be approached with an openness that asks for nothing in return.
Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on Earth.~~Muhammad Ali
Volunteering and its surprising benefits
The benefits of volunteering are well documented, from the positive impacts to the advantages it brings to participating individuals. This is why some schools and colleges now in Morocco make volunteering a compulsory requirement for their students.
Studies also indicate that the social interaction of volunteering can help to combat mental health issues, anxiety, and depression.
In a world that is becoming more individualistic, we lost our sense of community. It’s through volunteering that many find the support they need.
One can probably discover a sense of personal achievement and satisfaction while cultivating enriching friendships at the same time.
Charity work gives students opportunities to test out a desired career path. It gives them an edge on their resume.
By getting involved with an organization (such as Zero Hunger Morocco…) that shares similar ideals and interests you will be making an important step.
Volunteering is still important, not only because it helps your community, but also it helps to a better you as an individual.
It is a free way to feel good about yourself.
